Biography

Sarah Gross is a director and producer based out of New York and Los Angeles with an M.F.A. in directing from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. Born into a family of cinephiles, Sarah has been making movies since she was she was old enough to hold a camera. She is passionate about powerful storytelling, and loves coming up with concepts and creating visuals for artists and brands.

Sarah began her journey in film working in the camera department on independent features, such as Cymbeline and Wedding in New York. She later transitioned into the assistant director’s department on television shows, including Gotham, The Blacklist, Person of Interest, and Nurse Jackie, as well as on the action films Run All Night and A Most Violent Year.

Since then, Sarah has directed, written, and produced commercials and short films for clients such as Pepsi, UGG, Fashion Rocks, Jaunt VR, and others. She is known for crafting character-driven work with emotional resonance, arresting visuals, and provocative narratives. Her interest lies in developing psychologically rich characters and female-centric stories.
